Shore 104.3 Fm Announces The Launch Of Music Saves III

(Vancouver, BC) – SHORE 104.3 FM is pleased to announce the launch of the Music Saves III video, the third installment in the Music Saves series, in support of the Vancouver Adapted Music Society (VAMS) and the continued efforts of The Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund.

Music Saves is a music video series based on the Playing For Change concept. The performances were filmed and recorded live throughout various picturesque locations around Vancouver this summer, then edited together into one song and video. The video illustrates the power of music and its potential to positively impact peoples’ lives.

Music Saves aims to bring attention to music therapy and inspire musicians with disabilities by highlighting BC based artists, both able-bodied and disabled, performing a new version of a well recognized song.

In 2009, Music Saves I performed the Bob Dylan song “I Shall Be Released” and was accredited with a number of awards including the “Community Service Award” by the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters (BCAB) and the “Best Charity or Cause Related Event” Award by the BC Events Award Group. In 2010, Music Saves II performed a modern reworking of the Dave Mason (Traffic) classic “Feelin’ Alright.” SHORE 104.3 FM was honored by the BCAB with the “Community Service (Large Market)” Excellence Award for Music Saves II. Watch the video for Music Saves II here.

For 2011, Music Saves chose to have the musicians perform the classic Canadian track "Oh What A Feeling" by Crowbar.
