DMDS powers 40th annual JUNO awards

For three years now, DMDS has powered the voting engine used by judges across Canada for the country's premier music awards show: The JUNO Awards. Tonight, CARAS, the organization that runs the awards show, invited representatives from Yangaroo and other members of the Canadian music industry to it's 40th anniversary launch party. The event itself won't take place until March 2011, but below are pictures revealing the new designs for the JUNO statues given to award winners next year. Television personality Ben Mulroney and multi-award winning artists Billy Talent hosted the evening and showcased the new statuettes.

Former Chairman Emeritus of MacLaren McCann, and Vice Chairman of McCann Worldgroup, Named to Board of Industry-Leading Digital Distribution Company

TORONTO, CANADA - YANGAROO Inc., (TSX-V: YOO, OTCBB: YOOIF) the industry's leading secure digital media distribution company, has named Anthony G. Miller, former Chairman Emeritus of MacLaren McCann, to its board of directors.

“Tony Miller has been a force in the advertising world for five decades,” said Scott Wambolt, Chief Executive Officer of YANGAROO. “Over the last year, we’ve taken significant steps to expand our business and provide secure digital distribution of advertising content. Tony’s input and experience will be an invaluable asset as we continue to make inroads in the space. We’re honored to have him aboard.”

Recently, YANGAROO announced plans to launch a new advertising delivery division, which will provide the highest quality and most efficient distribution of digital audio and video advertising to broadcasters. YANGAROO’s patented Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) offers the advertising community a fast, secure and cost-effective way to deliver HD and SD video as well as audio advertisements to broadcasters. Advertising executives can work directly with DMDS or a DMDS Certified Sender, such as a dub house or production house, to deliver ready-to-air ads to broadcasters.

Until January 2007, Anthony Miller was Chairman Emeritus of MacLaren McCann, one of Canada’s leading advertising and marketing communications companies. He previously served as Vice Chairman of the global parent, McCann Worldgroup, based in New York, and has held a number of senior positions in advertising agencies in both the United States and Canada for more than 40 years. Miller is a former chairman of the Canadian Institute of Communication and Advertising, a past chairman of the Young Presidents Organization (Ontario), and a member of the Chief Executive Organization. He also serves on the board of Care Canada.

YANGAROO's patented Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) is a leading secure B2B digital delivery solution for the music and advertising industries. DMDS is a Web-based delivery system that pioneers secure digital file distribution by incorporating biometrics, high-value encryption and watermarking. DMDS replaces the physical distribution of audio and video content for music, music videos, and advertising to television, radio, media, retailers, award shows and other authorized recipients with more accountable, effective, and far less costly digital delivery of broadcast quality media via the Internet.

Named one of Canada’s Top 100 Tech Companies for 2009 by Canadian Business, YANGAROO has offices in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, and London, U.K. YANGAROO trades on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V) under the symbol YOO and in the U.S. under OTCBB:YOOIF.
